Mitch Gross, Community Manager from Kaos Studios, has informed us that the PC Multiplayer Demo for Frontlines: Fuel of War will be released on March 11, 2008 at 1pm EST and will contain the maps Invasion and Oilfield.
Many people have been asking and we're happy to announce that we will be releasing a PC multiplayer demo of Frontlines: Fuel of War on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 1pm EST.
This PC multiplayer demo will be based on the final version of the game and feature an all-new map "Invasion" in addition to the final "Oilfield" map. We will be posting more information on how to get the demo as well as a list of fixes and changes that have been made since the last beta patch, as we get closer to the release of the demo.
Kaos Studios and THQ would also like to thank you for all of your time, effort, and enthusiasm during the Frontlines beta. As part of our preparation for the demo, we will be bringing the open beta servers offline on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 11pm EST. Your participation during the beta has been extremely helpful and we again thank you for all your time and efforts.
The forums at http://community.kaosstudios.com will stay open in the meantime and we will post any updates about the demo there. We are planning a "Fight the Devs" beta event for Monday. Watch the forums for more info shortly.

wow... I am really concerned with all of the posts I am reading here and elsewhere about the glitchiness/bugs and so on in the retail PC game. I am really hoping they can pull things together and produce the game we PC'ers have all been expecting, given their reputation from the DC dayz. I, and many of my online gaming friends, have become incredibly sceptical... March 12th(?) will be all telling, when the demo is released. If that doesn't show that the things that have been discussed at length since the 0.2.2 closed beta have been fixed, I don't see the PC version of this going very far.
Through the whole beta process, there was alot of interaction with the community, which is unheard of and they should be commended for, but mostly what we got was "it's done when it's done." We didn't see a new build of the beta since it went public in 0.3.0 back in December. Yes, we saw a patch, but that was minimal at best, and did not really solve any problems in game, that I saw. So for 2+ months, we basically played the same beta build, which is the main reason I did not pre-order or buy the game yet. I have to see the demo and proof that things were fixed. Too many other developers have given the "trust us, it's fixed" line, only to have things as bad or worse on release... _________________

You know, the mixed reviews you get are like this:
For every 10 people that enjoy the game, thers is 1 that does not for whatever reason (can't install, can't find a server, hates the gameplay, graphics suck, etc.) Those people will more than likely get on forums and tell others about their problem MORE than the people who enjoy playing the game.
It's the same way with any product or service. A bad expirence has more of a chance to get around than a good one.
That being said, I know that KAOS is busy as heck getting patches and fixes on the way. I guess you could say that they want that "vocal bad rep" to go away by fixing the problems. _________________

well i suppose im one of them people, who cant install it, must be doing something wrong...i think not!!
ive installed 3+ time's, and applied both patches, well patch and hotfix, and the game does not get past the splash screen, it just crashes.
i do want to play this game, and have been watching it as soon as i heard it was the old DC devs working on it.
but ive had this game for over a week, and not played it once.
im not gunna tell you not to get the game, it's your own mind, but i would tell you to wait, a while, mabey a month.
oh, and whats the point in bringing a demo out, when the games out already, shouldnt the demo come before the retail game, ass backwards company or what lol _________________

yes, but the game's out, been out for nearly two weeks, so why bring a demo out, you dont need a demo to tell if a game is ufcked, just read the forum's, there's enough topics to put you off this game, i wish i waited now _________________
